Scott Collins is a singer-songwriter known for his deeply personal storytelling and Americana music. In 2019, the Austin Mayor declared January 31st "Scott Collins Day," recognizing his influence on the local music scene. His songs, praised for their emotional depth and authenticity, have earned him accolades, including praise from KUTX and Austin City Limits Executive Producer Terry Lickona. Collins' latest project, And All This Happened EP, showcases his growth as an artist. Recorded with his live band in just three days and produced by Grammy-nominated Chris "Frenchie" Smith, the EP features a mix of Americana and classic rock with standout tracks like "Run Away (For Now)," which includes saxophone—a long-time dream of Collins'. Outside of his music career, Collins founded Chicken Run Studios, mentors children in the foster care system through Kids In A New Groove, and volunteers with organizations like the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians and the SIMS Foundation. Collins views his musical journey as a dream fulfilled, emphasizing hard work and giving back to others.
