Americana
Reid Bros. is the project name of Austin singer-songwriter Reid Umstattd, recognized for his soulful vocals, heartfelt lyricism, and a sound that bridges Americana, folk, and rock. Umstattd first made his mark as the frontman of Nelo, a nationally touring alternative rock band with multiple releases on Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Records. In 2018, he reached national audiences on NBC’s The Voice, earning a spot in the Top 24. He followed with his solo debut EP Pockets of Clouds (2019), before launching Reid Bros. with the full-length album Southern Spheres (2022), produced by Brian Douglas Phillips. In 2025, Reid Bros. released a run of singles showcasing an evolving, expansive sound, all building toward the highly anticipated second album, Life of the Chosen One, due in early 2026 and also produced by Phillips. Intimate yet powerful, Reid Bros. combines Southern grit with emotional storytelling, securing Umstattd’s place as a distinct voice in modern Americana.
