What is HireMusicians.com?

HireMusicians.com is a platform dedicated to helping musicians get live music gigs. There is no transactional fee, no pay wall, and no middle man involved.

The primary product of HireMusicians.com is the musician directory. The goal of the directory is to make hiring live musicians easy. The typical live music booking workflow involves artists sending tons of emails to talent buyers to find gigs and the talent buyers managing a disorganized email inbox of inquiries. Instead, talent buyers should be able to easily search and filter to find the acts they are interested in and musicians should be able to focus on their craft instead of learning sales to get gigs.

What’s Next?

Version 1 of the site launched March 17, 2025 and all live musician listings are invite only as of now. Features like creating favorites lists, sending gig inquiries to musicians through the platform, messaging, and much more are under development.

A short list of features under development:

• Favorites – Allow logged in users to create a favorites list
• Collections – Allow users to create custom lists of musician listings
• Inquiry – Allow users to enter gig details and send that inquiry to multiple musicians to get a quote, availability, or other response
• Verified Listings – Allow users to pay to be verified on the platform. The fee will pay for a manual identity verification process
• Venues played filter – Allow users to filter for musicians who have played at a certain music venue

About The Founder

My name is John Filippone, I am the creator of HireMusicians.com, and I have a background as a musician and a software engineer. I release my own music under the name Johnny Fantana and before I started HireMusicians.com, I started Austin Music Love, a local music promotion company in Austin, TX. Before that I worked as a software engineer for 5 years. I am now applying my software skills to develop this platform and help out the music community which I am a part of and care deeply about.
